Living with uncontrolled epilepsy myself, from the age of 9, I  have gained huge experience of seeing not only how it affects myself but the people around me too... both mentally and physically.

Using my professional background  as an accredited volunteer for a national charity, as well as my own experience of living with the condition, I decided to use these skills and my own passion (in helping others in similar situations)  to set up Shropshire Epilepsy Support.

After becoming a mum, I feared that my daughter may one day be made to feel different by others because of my Epilepsy . I knew that she would need just as much support as I did (sometimes even more) as she has to deal with this condition too, however I knew from experience that this just wasn't out there. 

 Having her in my life every day and seeing some of the challenges that have cropped up, inspired me to change the area that we live in, for the better , for those of all ages, who are affected by epilepsy.
